The Berkman–Syme social networking Index (see Box 6-2) centers on the adult that is general and measures social integration versus isolation by taking a look at marital status, frequency of connection with other individuals, involvement in spiritual tasks, and involvement in other club or company tasks (Berkman and Syme, 1979). This measure had been suitable for addition in electronic wellness documents (EHRs) as being a way of measuring social isolation by a previous institute of medication committee (IOM, 2014).
